Second-ranked host Chesterton rallied with first- and third-place boys swimming finishes in the final event Jan. 29 to tie No. 4 Munster, 93-93, in what one fan called “easily the most exciting high school event I’ve ever attended.” The Trojans had reeled off victories in the first eight events but needed the extra effort in the 400-yard freestyle relay to garner the tie.
“Both teams are so good that nobody should lose,” said Chesterton coach Kevin Kinel.
On the girls side, No. 4 Chesterton rolled to a 115-71 win over No. 21 Munster. Click here for the story from post-trib.com.
